I recenetly went though these tutorials and found them extremely helpful and valuable. Hopefully you’ll be able to learn from them as well… There are 12 videos in the series and each one is very valuable. Martin very clearly explains how to make basic dynamic maps for 2D or even potentially 3D games. In the last video he even described a few techniques that some of the more advanced games use to generate a level.
Here’s the first video in the series.
So, this last week I have obtain a trial copy of Unity 4.3. I gots to say, I’m really liking it. I have been learning a TON thanks to quill18creates. His videos have taught me a TON and have really gotten me back into developing. I have had experience in the past with a bunch of languages, but have never really learned how to make video games. I’ve had a ton of fun learning so far and look forward to what else I’ll be able to learn and do. Perhaps one day I’ll create a real video game 😀
